It meant a lot for me to go to Shanghai and Taipei this time. Having lived in London for 8 years, I had gotten more of a European-based outlook, but since coming back to Tokyo last year, I had been thinking about Asian countries, especially the neighboring countries of China, Taiwan, Korea and so on.... These countries are so close yet I'd never visited them once in my life. I had heard rumours about what's what with the club scenes in those countries and that raves are starting to catch on. A few offers had been made, but I never really had a good chance. I have named the title of the new JOUJOUKA album scheduled to be on sale in December "New Asians" with the concept behind it as seeking and suggesting new ways of being Asian and living in Asia. Actually going to Shanghai and Taipei, I found everything so fresh and was touched by the Asian vitality. In Taipei, I happened to see one of the promoters who had been offering to book me, so we discussed the plans for the next party . I'm scheduled to go again in December. After all Asia is one!!
